Fall classes start the week of September 16, 2019, and run through the week of November 8, 2019.

In the drawing studio you will learn the fundamentals of drawing by focusing on observational rendering, use of line, shading, and mark-making to think and draw spatially. While drawing from a variety of subjects, you’ll begin to build technical skills and develop your own personal expression. You’ll receive personal and group critiques and encouragement to facilitate growth in your drawing ability, gain knowledge and use of the elements of design, and prepare for painting or advanced drawing courses.

SOAR Colored Pencil Workshops

Vivid Lilies on Sanded Paper with Mandy Peltier

Saturday, September 28–Sunday, September 29, 2019

As an experienced instructor, Mandy’s passion for teaching and for colored pencil is both evident and contagious. Her artwork has been juried into the prestigious exhibitions including CPSA’s International Exhibition and Explore This! We know you will enjoy Mandy’s Friendly disposition and her willingness to generously share everything she knows about working with colored pencils on sanded paper. Fee: $199.

Registration and Refund Policies for Classes and Workshops

Registration Guidelines

  • Full payment must accompany registration and is nonrefundable.
  • Class fees will not be prorated for any reason.
  • Payment must be made by cash, check, or credit card (a 5% convenience fee will be added for credit card transactions).
  • Late registrations are welcome with space available and permission of the instructor.
  • Unless otherwise noted, classes are open to participants age 16 and older.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Crossroads Art Center or the course instructor reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment five to seven days prior to the first scheduled class.
  • A full refund is provided if Crossroads Art Center or the instructor cancels a class.
  • Crossroads Art Center does not issue credit vouchers for class withdrawals.

 

Crossroads Art Center may occasionally provide a substitute course instructor. This is decided with a recommendation from the scheduled instructor to ensure the quality of the class.
