Elisabeth Flynn-Chapman

PHOTOGRAPHY

Elisabeth Flynn-Chapman is a professor emerita of art and architectural history with a collection of more than 60,000 photographic images. Some have been copied by the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, I.M. Pei & Associates, and other organizations. She has participated in workshops with Ezra Stoller, Norman McGrath, Jim Megargee, Constantine Manos, George Tice, and Susan Bloom, and she was a guest photographer for the curator of the Acropolis in Athens.

 

Elisabeth also authors of articles on Baroque architecture; Thomas Sully; the Bible in western aeErt (Harper’s Bible Dictionary); and Moses in the visual arts in “Interpretation” (Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia). She has been a guest lecturer for, among others, the Mediterranean Society of America, and she was named an honorary member of Kappa Pi.

 

Elisabeth has traveled throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Egypt, Jordan, and China. In 2010, Elisabeth held a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France. She will return in 2015 for another residency at the Cité.
