Gale Blevins

CUSTOM WELDED STEEL ART

Gale Blevins lives in Rural Retreat, a small town in southwest Virginia. He started creating art about 3 years ago when his wife wanted an armillary sphere; they could not find what they wanted, so he made one. After the first piece, his imagination was stirred and he started making other objects and naming each one. When people wanted to buy them, that was the beginning of Custom Welded Steel Art.

Gale has made armillary spheres that rotate on stands, 3/4 moons, shooting moons and open hearts, circles of hope, and shadow boxes with interchangeable centers. There are a wide variety of centers to choose from that will allow customization of each piece. He also has a crazy ball, a double-ring art piece, a weather vane, and a seeing triangle, as well as handmade wire trees and candleholders.

Each individual piece is hand-rolled and welded. Some pieces are powder-coated, and most centers are powder-coated. Custom work can be done to suit your personal tastes. So, if you are looking for something unique, look no further than Custom Welded Steel Art.
