Jan Priddy

OIL PAINTING

Jan Priddy is a wildlife artist from Virginia. She enjoys painting wildlife in its habitat and tries to capture the personalities with intricate details. She started taking art classes in 2013 with Robert Caldwell. Her painting skills took off in a new direction, and so did her wildlife adventures. Jan traveled to Africa with RL Caldwell & Friends in 2016; that experience was a life-changing adventure. She is also a wildlife photographer and uses her pictures to paint various wildlife animals. She’s been to the Rocky Mountains, Minnesota, and Corolla (in Outer Banks, North Carolina, where the wild horses roam the beaches and sand dunes). Her art has won many awards, including 3rd place in the May 2018 All-Media Juried Exhibition at Crossroads Art Center, 1st place in the 2018 Annual Juried Bon Air Artists Association (BAAA) Show, 1st place in the Wildlife Category at James River Art League’s (JRAL) 2016 Members Judged Exhibit, and 2nd place in the 2017 BuyRVAart Wildlife Show.

Jan works at Midlothian Art Academy as the studio assistant. She is also a member of JRAL and BAAA.
