Through art expression Karen Julihn finds that her inner self makes a connection to the outer world. When she is in in creative mode, she seeks an emotional balance so that she can concentrate completely on what she is doing. The experience keeps her focused and tapped into the moment. Karen says, “Art is my therapy, because it keeps me grounded in the here-and-now.”

 

Karen loves to play with light as the Impressionists did. Sometimes her art is literal as she tries to capture what she sees, but it evolves into a more expressive stage as she becomes focused on communicating a message to the viewer.
