Linda Wolitz
PASTEL, COLORED PENCIL, GRAPHITE
Linda Wolitz paints portraits of people, pets, and wildlife because she delights in capturing the inner self of her subject. “Each subject is special, and my challenge is to bring forth that uniqueness. Every painting is a celebration of life.”
Working in pastels, colored pencil, and graphite, Linda’s award-winning paintings reproduce the spirit of her subjects in a style has a three-dimensional effect. Her work has been published by the Virginia Museum of Natural History and Virginia Tech. She and her artwork were featured in Mature Outlook magazine, and she has been represented by galleries in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina.
Linda’s portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and wildlife paintings hang in private and public collections from Mexico to Alaska. Art-related activities in the Richmond area include commissioned portraiture and wildlife paintings, teaching, demonstrations and workshops. Linda maintains a studio space and gallery display at Crossroads Art Center, and she teaches pastel painting at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen.
