Martha Holthausen is an artist and painter living on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. She has worked professionally as a fashion illustrator, interior designer, art teacher, and award-winning painter in oil and watercolor. She served as artist-in-residence at Yosemite National Park for several years. Martha graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio State University. She has studied with several Plein Air Painters of America painters and at the Corcoran School in Washington, D.C. She is a longtime member of the Working Artists Forum, a juried membership group of professional artists based in Easton, Maryland.
Capturing natural changing light and the pure pleasure of painting are Martha’s motivations to continue as an artist.
