Pauline Swiney Ney (P.S. Ney)
OIL PAINTING
Goal: To create beautiful, lasting impressions
Having grown up on a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Pauline Swiney Ney is a plein air painter who enjoys feeling the landscape as
she paints it. She pulls the excitement, joy, and peace that inspire her into each painting, with no two scenes ever appearing quite the same. For Pauline, if looking at her work evokes any of these emotions for the viewer, then the painting is a success.
Pauline studied at the Corcoran School of Art and the American University in Washington, D.C. She is co-founder of the American Impressionist Society (AIS) and served as its first president. She maintains studios in Mathias, W. Va., and in Longboat Key, Fla.
